Everyday Heroes Wanda Butts

I feature July’s Everyday Hero Wanda Butts. Miss Butts started a non-proffit organization called
Josh Project to help minority children learn how to swim. This project is named after her late son 16-year.old Josh who drowned in a rafting accident in 2006. Miss Butts said she didn’t want any mother to experience the pain of losing their child just because they didn’t know how to swim. To date, The Josh Project has taught over 1000 children how to swim and about water safety which includes how to put on a life jacket. I compare Josh’s situation to my own life experience in this episode. Miss Butts, you are the everyday hero for the month of July here on the Gwennacast.
